Swedish

The goal of a Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and promote relaxation of the muscles and joints. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.

 

Ideal for people who:

 

  • Are new to massage

  • Are sensitive to touch

  • Are looking to just simply relax

 

 

Recommended duration: 60-120 minutes

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue Massage reaches the deeper layers of the muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. 

 

Ideal for people who:

 

  • Sit for long periods of time

  • Have chronic muscle pain/problems

  • Have a lot of muscle tension or tightness

  • Have constant aches/pains

 

 

Recommended duration: 60-90 minutes

Hot Stone

Hot Stone Massage is often paired with Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage. Stones are heated and used with oils to sooth, warm, and massage your muscles. This allows your body to relax and release tension and stress.

 

Hot stone massage may help with:

 

  • Relieving pain

  • Easing muscle tension

  • Improving blood flow

  • Relieving stress

 

 

Recommended duration: 90-120 minutes

Prenatal Massage

Massage therapy for expectant mothers.  Prenatal massage can be a safe way for women to receive massage therapy during pregnancy.  Prenatal massage uses gentle pressure to promote relaxation, mild tension relief, reduce body aches, and ease muscle pain.

 

Prenatal massage:

 

  • Is recommended for expectant mothers that are outside of the first trimester

  • Can be performed either lying on your side or with a specially designed cushion with a cutout for your belly.

Trigger Point Massage

Trigger point massage is aimed to relieve areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points.  This massage type focuses on providing relief from injuries, chronic pain, or a specific issue/condition.  Trigger point massage uses a combination of relaxing and deep pressure. 

 

Trigger point massage may help with:

 

  • Managing chronic pain

  • Muscle tension

  • Injuries

Cupping Massage

Cupping massage is performed by placing a glass or plastic cup onto the skin to create a suction to draw the skin, muscle, and fascia up into the cup.  Cupping massage is used in the treatment of many types of muscle tensions and common ailments such as neck pain, back pain, tight trapezius, and more.

 

Cupping massage may help with:

 

  • Promoting relaxation

  • Enhancing blood circulation

  • Reducing inflammation

  • Removal of toxins and dead cells

  • Pain relief
